Navigating STEM Careers: Overcoming Obstacles
Careers in the biomedical field that include academic institutions and industry are time-consuming endeavors that require a lot of dedication, passion, and, sometimes, lifestyle changes.

We will have a panel of scientists (men and women), including Dr. Indra Chandrasekar, to discuss how they overcame the obstacles they faced as women and parents. They will discuss the role of family, institutional culture, and community support for their continued success in the field. Hopefully, these discussions can bring about more changes in available community and institutional support and provide confidence to everyone who wants to start a STEM education or career.
