It's back! Join Sioux Falls Science Pub for science trivia night on March 17! Quizmaster Dr. Alex Kloth will ask general science questions that have connections to all things March—including March Madness and St. Patrick's Day. Prizes for the winners!
Alex Kloth has a PhD in molecular biology and neuroscience from Princeton University and teaches biology at Augustana University in Sioux Falls. You can also find him playing and occasionally hosting trivia all over town.

Fungi are awesome, and so much more than just the classic button mushrooms you find in the grocery store! In February's Sioux Falls Science Pub presentation, Dr. Andrew Sathoff will profile various diverse, edible fungi (all available for purchase from major retailers). These fungi play additional roles other than simply being delicious: they're crucial parts of the ecosystem, too. These fungal foods will be available for sampling, and there will be a live cooking demonstration!
Dr. Sathoff has a PhD in plant pathology from the University of Minnesota and is an associate professor of biology and the math and science department chair at Dakota State University.

You will learn the basic techniques of royal icing decorating: outlining and flooding, wet on wet, and working with different consistencies. l will also share some tips and tricks, as well as share resources and free recipes.
During this class you will get to decorate 5 sugar cookies with royal icing and not only take home your designs, but also a special cookie decorated by HEB Bakes with a goodie bag, including a coordinating cookie cutter.
All you need to do is bring yourself, everything else will be provided, including a tray to bring your designs home.
These classes are meant to be an adults "night out", and strictly 18+ class, NO EXCEPTIONS.
You'll also get a drink of your choice from Severance, a favorite is their De Witte!
